Purdue University welcomed President Luis Abinader and delegation to campus for meetings with university president Mung Chiang and other Purdue leaders to discuss expanding a growing partnership in semiconductors, biotechnology, and online learning last week. Purdue is backing research and education collaborations with the Dominican Republic. Chiang is an excellent partner for the Dominican aspirations to become a nearshore base for semiconductor manufacturing.
Chiang was born in mainland China but at an early age migrated to Hong Kong and after high school to the United States for his university studies.
