I choose to take the opposite view. I feel the opposition to the S.O.E. is mostly political grandstanding as none of the opposition parties wish to assume power in July having made the situation worse for themselves. I expect the vote to pass but with some modifications. Maybe with an agreement to end the curfew but maintaining the ability to restrict mobility from one place to another.

We'll see.
Previously passing votes were modified by shortening the SOE period. Tomorrow will tell if that period is now zero.

I've never traveled with travel insurance nor know anyone that does. What does it cover?
The people i've ever met who have "travelers insurance" were college kids from the UK on summer break while living in The Netherlands.

Mayhem? Please explain.
I/ most of us who live here
help others (locals) on a
regular basis.

I stated prior, the opposition rejecting
the proposed extension has absolutely nothing to do with people's heath and well-
being.

If the government really cared about the
people who live in this country it wouldn't
have half the problems it currently has. I shouldn't have to spell that out you.

Question: At what point in time are people supposed to live without the fear of being tossed into a overcrowded disgusting jail cell for being outside after 7pm?

Iwas in STI today (Dentist)

bad stuff.. very little adherence to rules/regs
wacky traffic

Bravo/Nacional were all masked etc... but elsewhere
fuggetaboutit

Full scale normal

The big cities must consider themselves immune.....

They are the problem - creo yo

Mayhem you ask.... out of control - breaking laws and rules

Read the Minneapolis stories for some background

I live here in STI.
Very happy to see things
getting back to normal.
Was in and out of Denny's
in 10 minutes today. They're
social distancing the
Dominican way just as they
do everything else in life
the Dominican way. Anyone
who's lived here for more than
a month understands why,
good luck with changing it
anytime soon.

Ban Reservas
is a different story. Felt like I
was in downtown Caracus.
Stood in line for over an hour while
getting sunburned and it moved
down about a quarter of the block,
time passed, never made inside.
Hopefully they relax the new norm
soon so I don't have to do that again
before I fly back to FL next Friday.

State of emergency no longer. Relaxed
in the same colmado, just as I've been
doing since this crap started, had a
few cold beers with friends and a talked
politics.

Minneapolis police are no different than
police I dealt with in Jacksonville in the
late 80's, early 90's or the New Orleans
police I dealt with in the late 90's early
2000's. The only difference is now everyone
has a digital camera with them 24hrs a day
attached to their hip. Brother says he "can't
breath", cops says "tough shit".
Control is their goal.. End of story.

I watched two old guys in my neighbourhood when my wife and I were doing our morning walk( no masks) and each of them were wearing masks, they greeted each other from about 4 feet away, then I guess they just said the hell with it and hugged each other. I know these older gentlemen have been friends since childhood.
