Probable Error in Daily COVID Reports

Like many of you, I ready the daily (translated) COVID summaries that I receive in my dr1 newsletter.
I have noticed a striking oddity. It's obvious that daily vaccinations occur and that there are procedures for reporting to a database via VacunateRD or perhaps PAI.

The oddity is that for several months now, the number of vaccinated persons has remained at a constant 64%. This value has not changed for months. That's impossible given that persons are newly vaccinated daily.

Well, the numbers of vax appear to be carefully collated. Calculating the total percentage is a separate arithmetic operation. It could be that one set of operations is done carefully but that there is an oversight on the other. "Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater."

Yes and no. It depends. My wife went to a vaccination center which had had vax but when prospective clients never showed up, those vax were returned until another more viable location could be established. There's much in these decisions that are predictive which observation on the ground then changes.

Maybe people are becoming skeptical of vaccines effectiveness and also potential adverse side effects - that could mean those that haven't been vaxed want it to say it that way

Its the underage out of wedlock birthrate that keeps the % constant! 🤓

There is a difference between eligible population and total population.
Is it 64% of the total or the eligible?
As the eligible base expands the percentage could remain stagnant, in spite of increased numbers of vaccinations.

Do not believe too much of anything in these faux little items put out here. Government reports usually deserve a snort of laughter. Remember Covid numbers in DR cannot get too high…we have to remember its really about enticing tourists to a “hardly any Covid in DR” way of thinking.
