So there we have it... Anymore do-gooders out there that want search the streets to save more girls from their horrendous trade (that they only do because of the gringo demand)?

The number of Gringo customers nationwide for girls working their trade is a pittance compared to Dominican customers in my opinion. It is yet another example of opinions from people whose information to form said opinions comes from isolated geographic and economic areas of the country.

Funny thread.

Alright, now be honest, how many of the girls you see on pc go home with pesos every night? My guess would be 25%. What kind of "social net" is that?

And what about when they turn 30? Then what? Their wonderful career is over. Is there another "social net" that kicks in then? How do they eat?

they eat the same way that the girls who have never been prostitutes eat.

there are very few people in this world who just want to stay at home, lie on their backs all day, doing nothing. that is a myth created by wealthy people who want to pay slave wages....

When speaking about the world in general, I would have to agree with you
but when speaking about the Dominican Republic, I believe it the opposite.

Have they now deemed prostitution illegal in the DR? Is this the grounds they had to go after all these bars and restaurants where girls hangout? Obviously as mentioned there were a few bars that were caught red handed, pimping which is illegal, but there may be some messy court battles for the businesses who only had girls as patrons. Do we expect this actress and gobmint who saved the 70 plus women will now fund a job placement rehab program, or will they and their families just starve. Interesting events for sure, hopefully it doesn't increase the crime rate.

Interesting events for those who have skin in the game, one way or another. Others find it both tedious and humorous at the same time.

Funny how you always mention your illustrious business career in the US.
And now in the DR scratching
Out a living you never fail to mention your high level DR connections.
As for Sosua as a sex destination, laughable.
Anyone with a quarter brain function and in a wheelchair can meet women anywhere in the DR.

That my fren' sums it up perfectly.

I have lived in three different apartment buildings in SD Centro and the only lazy person, lying around doing nothing all day is ME. Everyone else I come in contact with is working or on their way to work. I can walk my neighborhood and not see a one chica plying her trade openly. Not a single person where I have lived ever considered me a "rich gringo". ……………. now if I hop the bus to Sosua or Boca Chica I would see the complete opposite.

LOL, give it a few more days and we will be up to 64 pages and still counting. It is the same every time one of these clean up Sosua threads get started.

1) chica needs milk for the baby, after hair extension, nails, Samsung Galaxy, clevage showing dress, a few Jumbos, and anything is left one container of powered milk,,,,,,,, wash, rinse, repeat

2) without the hoe monger the grandmas would never be able to afford that much needed open heart surgery

3) the rest of the usual blah, blah, blah

The government is not really concerned with what other occupations the women take up instead of being prostitutes. Some people confuse being legal with being endorsed. Yes, far more Dominicans use prostitutes than do tourists, no arguments from me on that. The "it happens everywhere" argument is frequently used to steer a discussion away from what is really happening.

We will just have occasional crackdowns on places that are said to pimp/promote prostitution in Sosua and Cabarete. Remember it is always about where money can be made.

On the north coast area you have houses continually being built in Casa Linda, Sosua Ocean Village and other locations not readily visible while walking down a small strip of Pedro Clisante at night. Not huge numbers of homes aimed at retirees, but steady progress.

Aldiana resort between Perla Marina and Sosua will open soon. Lifestyles in Cabarete is partly up and runnging. Dream City may remain a dream like so many other aborted projects in Sosua and Cabarete. Are there no other investors interested in the region?

As I may have mentioned, the government hates the reputation of Sosua (and Boca Chica) and will do everything they can to minimize that whore monger destination reputation. Yes it is the same discussion every time this topic arises.
