quake in the mona passage

after a long quite time I felt another quake tonight at about 11:30 pm. Not very strong - just a short rumble.
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.html shows it was a 5.2 in the Mona Passage - so I guess this had nothing to do with our 9/22 quake and its hundreds of aftershocks.
My alarm did not go off, which is ok - guess it's too far away to cause any damage here on the Northcoast.
People in the Punta Cana area might have felt it stronger?

earthquakes

I have been to the DR half a dozen times and the first time i heard of any earthquakes in the DR was this week when i became a member on this forum.
How often are they? Has the DR had any bad ones lately / ever?

Last bad one was quite a long time ago. 60 some odd years ago.
