Question for recent flights with TUIfly to Brussels users

I cannot find any definitive answers regarding luggage.

I know one piece of hand baggage per person is allowed instead of 2 as in no covid times.

But I also read that a carry-on would have to be checked and is not allowed in the cabin?

Can you clarify, please? Thank you! :)
