Question for Viagra users
Xavier, what is the exact name and strength of the generic you are speaking about. I would like to try it.
Would you know any specific pharmacies in SD or Sousa that sell it

The brand was Suhagra, 100 mg,, and I bought it by mail from Canada, from Northwest Pharmacy in Winnipeg. I have no idea whether it is sold in the DR. All I know is my own experience. I have used this, it costs a lot less than the Pfizer version, and it produces the same results.

generics are just cheap generics and not fakes. all this "only brand names are good" is a propaganda by big, fat and wealthy pharma companies. the biggest costs of their drugs is the development. once the patent is done for the compound if for grabs to be mass produced by good labs who have everything but millions of dollars to sink in research. they simply copy.
pharmaceutical industry in DR is booming. there are several large makers of medicine, all fighting to establish a good position on the market. they cannot afford to produces fakes. this is life or death of the company. and they are fighting hard with counterfeiters: la pela in particular changed its presentation several times with new features added (different plastic, different lettering, holograms and whatnot).
even then the medicine here is very expensive. it is a lot cheaper (sometimes 3 times less) in poland. and that's without insurance, 100% out of your pocket. but then most dominican manufacturers are still fairly new and their startup costs are high.

Avoid the Viagra and the Viagra generics; they are only 4 hour pills. The La Pela, or Mambo 36 are the generic Cialis, which is a 36 hour pill. Some places will try and rip you off, but the going rate for 1 pill is 50 pesos, about $1.25. If you buy in quantity, they will give you a 5% discount, but you must ask. I've bought thousands, and if I resold them in the U.S., which I don't, I could have retired. There is a problem though in the D.R. with fake drugs. What, you're surprised?!

I just made a quick calculation, and 244 pills will give a year long erection... and you bought thousands. So you must have had an erection for the past 10 to 15 years... as you did not sell any to friends/customers.

Viagra has side effects, like headache, low blood pressure, etc... the side effects last for the same 4 hours, or sometimes longer. So, Cialis side effects last for 36 hours or more?
Whenever I go to Sosua I get asked at least 14 times every single time. it drives me nuts! I would buy it from a pharmacy and not the guys off the streets, they remind me to much of drug dealers with crap drugs. They don't bother me as much as the CHANGE CHANGE guys though!
There is a new generic version just out in the DR called Sankia, the bad news are the side effects, small bumps or horns on the sides of your head, hairy palms and a preference for blonds or anything green like a card to the US. Stay away from this one.

There is a generic brand of Viagra that is sold in the DR. The box has a white horse with wings with the name sildenafil citrate. I forgot the name and I do not have the box, so I can't take a photo of it for you. But it works just like the Pfizer.
Then there is this one, made by a reputable Latin American pharmacy-
The price for this pill may be higher in Sosua, for obvious reasons-exploitation of the monger market. There are pharmacies along and around the side streets of Avenida Independencia in Santo Domingo (close to Clinica Abreu near El Conde) you can check out.
I highly doubt you will go wrong if you follow these instructions. The prices will be around the US $2.00/per pill ballpark. You will not have to worry about the efficacy and quality. Don't think quality is affected by the low price.
I use medication from the DR that are made by laboratories in Latin America and India with no problems. One is an injectable cortico anti-inflammatory that is so cost effective it's ridiculous-a year's supply costs me what a two week dosage would if I purchased it here in the states.
Just don't ask anyone to procure the generic Viagra for you, either Dominican or expat. This is where you will wind up in trouble. Go to the pharmacies yourself and ask to see the boxes, even if you only want to purchase one pill at a time. Reason is you will be able to see where they are taking the pill from, and sometimes there is a price tag on the box so they won't be able to gank you.
