The Dominican Baseball League (Lidom) is working on publishing a two-games per day schedule to catch up for the days of canceled games due to the recent rains. Lidom organizes the annual Dominican Winter Professional Baseball Championship. The tournament has 150 games planned for the six teams and the regular season is scheduled to end on 22 December 2024. Semifinals are then played to choose the winner that will represent the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Series.
So far, the Leones del Escogido lead the tournament with 14 wins and five losses. The Tigres del Licey follow with 10 wins and 8 losses and the Estrellas Orientales post nine wins and nine losses. The Aguilas Cibaeñas are in fourth place with seven wins and 10 losses. The Toros del Este and Gigantes del Cibao are tied with seven wins and 11 losses.
