Ray Liotta died in sleep at a hotel in Dominican Republic. I found the story from my TV station states:

WASHINGTON — Actor Ray Liotta, best known for playing Henry Hill in "Goodfellas," has died, his publicist confirmed to multiple media outlets. He was 67.
DEADLINE, which was the first outlet to report his passing, said the actor died in his sleep while in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming the movie "Dangerous Waters."

A source close to the actor told TMZ that no foul play is suspected. Liotta's film and TV career spanned more than four decades. In addition to his breakout "Goodfellas" role, Liotta also portrayed baseball player "Shoeless" Joe Jackson in "Field of Dreams." Some of his other more memorable roles include "Operation Dumbo Drop" and "Hannibal."

Recently, he had appeared in "The Many Saints of Newark," "Marriage Story" and "No Sudden Move." He had also finished filming for the Elizabeth Banks-directed film "Cocaine Bear," which he stars in alongside Keri Russell.

May he rest in Peace..

first admired him when he played Henry Hill in Goodfellas ..
A Bartender/ Actor we knew who used to get bit parts told us about the Movie while they were shooting it , and he met Ray Liotta and the rest, he was in the Wedding scene ("this is Paulie Jr , my nephew") .. I vividly recall how he said it was such a pleasure meeting such truly talented Actors and he knew the Movie was going to be an absolute Blockbuster .. and it was .

RIP Ray ,thank you for all the Great Memories .

Ray Liotta, who has died in his sleep aged 67, made his name in films for his portrayal of hoodlums and corrupt cops teetering on the edge of psychopathy.

His most famous role was in Goodfellas (1990), Martin Scorsese’s gripping drama constructed around the experience of Henry Hill (played by Liotta), a real-life, small-time New York crook turned mobster who eventually becomes an informer and is spirited away into a witness protection programme.

The movie was nominated for six Academy Awards, including for best picture and best director, with Joe Pesci winning for best supporting actor. Liotta prepared for his role by spending time with the Brooklyn-born, half-Irish, half-Sicilian Henry Hill, who, after seeing the film, lauded the accuracy of his portrayal.

Liotta had been made to work hard to get the part in the first place. The story goes that he tried to lobby Scorsese on the beach at the Lido in Venice when the director was attending the Film Festival, but was turned away by bodyguards (hired to protect Scorsese from protesters against his 1988 picture The Last Temptation of Christ). Liotta managed to talk his way past them, and convinced Scorsese to cast him as Hill. Even then there was initial resistance from the studio executives – including the producer, Irwin Winkler – who wanted a bigger name.

That Dinner Scene , with the exposed Brain ... holy smokes , was one of the most Frightening things ever recorded ... . He had to act Drugged up, feeling no pain, and yet still be arrogant, and sadly funny , and he did all of those at same time .. just brilliant .
I just posted the scene up. Have to click on view on YouTube. The build up was tremendous. Great horror scene

He was here filming a movie and died in his sleep. At 67 - which is very young as I see it.
He was best in Something Wild with Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith
Vaccine or bad liquor?

He was the bad guy you wanted killed in "Something Wild" where he played Melanie Griffith's bad boy ex-lover.
The same movie where Melanie Griffith handcuffed Jeff Daniels to the headboard an hour after meeting him then called his boss and put the phone to his ear while she gave him a hummer was the best scene ever from a Ray Liotta film and he wasn't even in the scene. .
