I only heard this morning, apparently they were there on Tuesday so word must have got round and they sold out.

They have had real lemons for awhile, albeit, maybe not many, but I saw them 6 months ago in there...

Jumbo at Agora Mall had them earlier this week for 59 pesos a pound........... yes, real yellow lemons

Jumbo and Bravo had Clementines (tangerines I think they are called in english) last week for 99 reps 119 pesos a pound. The small, sweet, seedless kind. I never saw these here before.

Clementines are called the same thing in the USA - tangerines are usually larger, and they have seeds.

Don't most clementines come from Spain? Or am I just a victim of advertising? If so, makes sense they'd show up in DR.

yellow lemons available in la sirena in POP today. 89 or 99 pesos per pound, i think. they are going fast. same with orange oranges and tiny imported mandarins, best i've had in DR. the cashier mentioned people were buying those by buckets.

i just checked my la sirena bill: limon amarillo is listed at 99 pesos/lb and mandarina importada at 119 pesos/lb.

Anyone in Cabarete, I purchased real yellow lemons yesterday at Janet's. But someone posted that they were available on Facebook, and they were already running short. (70 pesos for four small lemons).
