Need recommendation for 2 married 40 yr old women who just want to get away to a warm place and get a tan. Their choices are 4 places in Sosúa and Puerto Plata. Safety most important, not looking to party.

1. Casa Marina
2. Viva Wyndham Tangerine
3. VH Gran Ventana
4. Viva Wyndham V Heavens

Thoughts?

I wasn’t clear. It has to be one of the 4 in the first post. Package deals with airfare.

Which is best for them?

Cabarete
Viva Wyndham Tangerine is in Cabarete. Not deluxe, but nice. Nice beach. Other good restaurants close by. You can walk into town on the beach.

Casa Marina, but take the rooms under the "SELECT" section. Great service in that section, beautiful view, private area to get coffee, beer, wine, snack foods, and brought to you where ever you are sitting. The "select" section is off limits from the rest of the resort. No vendors trying to sell you anything. Wifi included. Price very reasonable. Very Safe.

I don't think they can go wrong on any of them.

Gran Ventana gets my vote & they can go next door to Casa Colonial for a meal or two

Gran Ventana or Viva Wyndham. If they’d like to explore a bit, Cabarete would be better. But if they want to stay in the resort exclusively, then Gran Ventana.

My dad has friends that have stayed a month each year since about 2009 at Casa Marína. They say there have been lots of recent renovations, but I have no experience with it.
