true there are no atm fees, but the change rate is about 2 pesos less.

When I used my WaMu debit card to withdraw money from my checking account, while in Sosua, back in June, I was charged a 1% transaction fee.Those fees apply to debit and ATM cards issued to other accounts other than Wamu Free checking. I have my savings account linked to the debit card, as well a schecking account. From Wamu free checking the withdrawal is free, using the same card to withdraw from the savings account incurres US$2 charge.
Using a debit card issued to Wamu Free Checking for ATM withdrawals worldwide is free.
