Renewal of Dominican Passport From Canada

Hello to all,

Can anyone speak to whether this was an easy process?
Did you apply to the Dominican consulate in Toronto or the Dominican Embassy in Ottawa?

My MIL did it through the Dominican Consulate in Toronto, but whichever one you choose, they will sent the application/file to New York and your new passport will come from there. Took two weeks when we did it in 2011.

Thanks for the reply. Interestingly enough, the Ottawa embassy and the Toronto consulate info on the pages do not exactly match up. However, I guess the Toronto consulate does this a lot and wouldn’t steer one wrong, I hope.

Please directly contact the Consulate as the web pages are not always updated, especially because the consulates in Canada do not renovate passports directly. Their contact info is:
