Resort Day Passes - Punta Cana

Looks like 17 really big Cabanas worldwide doing pretty good with a trashy Guitar out front of their hotels. I guess the fact that they will have the best disco in the Punta Cana area come December when Liv opens their disco adjacent to the casino, Those of you who are familiar with South Beach should be familiar with their club in Miami. Lets stop hating on a succesful franchise that can only enhance the Bavaro area.

Hating? I was only expressing my opinion on an aesthetic detail. For all I know once you get past the gates it is the epitome of class and refinement.

I wish them all the best, and I'm sure they'll understand that their style doesn't appeal to absolutely everyone.

A Daypass is $86. It is good from 7AM until 11PM. It includes all food and drinks in all the restaurants and Casino. In other words, it is the same as being a guest but without the room. You can also go the beach and eat and drink free on the beach also. The girls have menus there.

Another option is to go to the Casino or Sportsbook, which is in the Casino. This is free for anyone with ID. Just tell the security at the gate that you are going to the Casino or Sportsbook, they will let you in and you go to the front desk where you get a white band for the Casino. But you have to stay in the Casino and to get free drinks you have to play something or go to the Sportsbook and bet. The hours for this are anytime from 10 AM until the Casino closes at 2AM.

from 7AM to 11PM for just $86 bucks is a fantastic cheap rate, I did not expect such, super.
and it includes all restaurants at the Moon?, even better.
are there any limits on drinks like "local alcoholic Beverages" or is it really anything?
thanks for the info,
such sounds like a once in a while Beachday away from the Homebeach with some Casino Fun after Dinner

No limit on anything. You want Johnny Walker Black? Just ask. This is not the Palladium.

What about the Melia Palma Real compared to the above mentioned hotels? What does the experts say? And do they have a day pass too?

they have Daypasses at the Palma Real, Yes, but can't remember the Rates, been a while when I had a group of fishing clients lodging there for a Tournament and we spent the off-Day with them at the Palma.
which Hotel is ""Better"" than an other is something very subjective depending on what Each different Person is looking for.
The Paradisus Palma Real has much more of a Tropical Flair and the water there is the IMHO much nicer Beach with all around the Year calm Waters.
we had always a good Time there, but it is still Large for my own Taste.
some People like extremely Calm Waters , maybe b/c they want to play in the Ocean with their small Kids, or they are not very confident swimmers, or they have disabilities in walking and fear to get knocked down by waves, while other Guests love to play in Waves, do activities like Boogie Boarding. some expect at a Caribbean destin a Caribbean Flair with Tropical gardens for a Walk, others like it Huge and american styled with Staekhouses and Burger Grills and Fries for the most Meals, with large suites Las Vegas Styled, the Casino right there etc, while other Visitors could on a Caribbean vacation not care less about a large Casino, watching wrestling or a Poker Tournament, or Burgers and Fries etc.
each has His/Her Taste/Expectations, and I guess Punta Cana offers over all a variety of so very different layed out properties that everybody can find His/Her suitable Property for a week or 2.
and of course Budget is a Mainfactor,
the really available Budget should be for every Traveler the first Decider to knock down the List of properties to look on before starting to research the details of the still on the List present properties to find the best suitable Place.
I give You an Example on myself:
we spend this year 2 one week stays at the Majestic Elegance, we always book there the 2 Room Swimupsuite, that provides a large Veranda, own Balibeds right in front of the Veranda in a small Garden, the own Pool Entrance is right there, no walkway for other Guests to pass by, the swimup Bar is just a 30 seconds swim around the Corner, Bar is stocked with more Booth than we could kill and refilled as often as wished, Roomservice is also included but the only Tie we used it been Mother's Day morning in May. Food is very good for a AI Resort, the Atmosphere is nice relaxed. we live all around the Year right on a nice Beach, so on vacation we don't care about such, pool people for a week, lol, and we love the quiet atmosphere at the elegance pool. we like to walk around the resort without the use of a Tram, so everything has tombe close to each others, I am not a real "Walker". food wise we like different dishes styled Intl cuisine, so the different Restaurants there suit us very well. to see Hamburgers and Fries, Las Vegas styled Neonsigns, big Casino areas etc etc, such would be a bummer for US on a caribbean vacation, b/c to experience such we simply go to Vegas, it is typical American, and don't get me wrong, this is in no Way meant anti-american or such, I traveled and experienced the USA myself for more than 6 consecutive Years and Loved it, I still love to spend some wkks there once in a while, but to get American styled thingies I simply Vacation in America, I would hate to stay in Punta Cana at a Typical german Run Place with schnitzel and Weisswurst and Octoberfest there. I like those activities, but they would be a Bummer for Me at a Caribbean resort on vacation.
each is different,
Punta Cana has it all.
so in my own personal Taste List You may find Easily why me and my wife would not range the Moon Palace any high on our personal resort List.
it's completely not our Taste
cheers
Mike

I spoke with some people who stayed at the Moon Palace - it is a huge resort, they did not seem to like it there very much. I think day passes are cheaper if someone who stays at the hotel invites you, it is around $150 - 200 or so for an adult pass for a day at a nice hotel like Palma Real (dinner not included).

The sign is awful and i up until last week was in the hotel weekly and it is a joke. i cant speak for the rooms, but make sure you skip the theatre on any tour!! It is still unfinished and a concrete shell, they have now cancelled ALL of their nightly entertainment because of this embarrasment. One of the managers of the hotel has told me that most complaints are about having nothing to do, so now there is no entertainment in the theatre i presume that will get worse, not something you would expect from an Hard Rock hotel really is it.

Day/night pass sounds like a good deal, but im not sure it would be worth passing the time there.

Palladium well worth it, but most hotels sell day passes and night passes seperatly and it usually works out cheaper just to book a room for the night. Not only that without a room can make it slightly tough after spending the day on the beach or by the pool and wanting to change for the evening with no place to go. You can book a room in the V.I.P section of the Palladium from $89 dollars a night at the moment!!!

Hi Helen,
yes, that's the Majestic Elegance.
the Majestic Colonial sells Day Passes for $115.- per Person, don't know if they sell evening/night passes.
AFAIK the Elegance does not sell any Day/Night Passes,
we've been there for a week's stay like we do every few months, not on a Daypass.
to be sure, cal Omaira Garcia at the Elegance Concierge, she can give you the accurate info.

maybe because some specific Resorts rightfully do not really want to sell daypasses to everybody?

Rooms at AI's are available at specific Weekends for 30bucks per person in a double Room ahead, right, but not everybody wanna ''enjoy'' a weekend or week at those resorts, lol.
each has His/Her own preferences and expectations,
and of course there are huge differences in case of Quality from one resort to an other.
Me and the Mrs prefer to pay a bit more and get for that what we want/await, away from the Party Crowds or Weekend DayPass Crowds or Springbreaker Crowds, we like it on Vaca Relaxed with no Noise around, great Food and great friendly Service, that's why the Elegance suits Us so much by Our Own preferences.
we will be back at the elegance for a Quicky in 2 days/Thursday.

you always get what ya pay for
and of course each has his/her own personal expectations.

cheers
