reloj, marca Richard Mille Rafael Nadal, color negro, pulsera roja, Quote from Atricle.

Tennis great Rafael Nadal is already a favorite to win the upcoming French Open – and now he has another reason to be excited about the tournament: He'll be wearing his new, $725,000 watch. Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille, which has sponsored and worked with Nadal since 2010, has unveiled its latest collaboration.

This looks like the watch the thief stole. Nadal has been wearing this for a few years.

Today’s DR1 news:

Police now report the stolen Richard Mille watch was a copy
The National Police is now reporting that the Richard Mille Rafael Nadal watch stolen from US citizen Maskim Vangeli in the La Dolcerie restaurant in Piantini was a reproduction. The media had reported the watch was valued at US$150,000. Venezuelan Lenin Amado Zambrano Lorenzo confessed to the robbery. He was arrested on Av. Mirador del Este in possession of the watch. He also had two pistols. He is accused of being part of a Venezuelan gang that have previously stolen expensive watches. The Police is searching for his associates. But for this case to progress, Vangeli would need to file a formal complaint.

In a way it's kinda funny getting mugged over a fake watch.

Even funnier getting hard time for stealing the fake.

Timex chuckled.

Nothing or very little will happen in this case if the victim does not file a formal complaint. I suspect the has already left the country and won't be coming back to do so. Especially now that it is known the watch in question was not genuine.

The take away, even a fake anything is not a good alternative to wear. Crims can't tell the difference at a glance and that's all it takes for someone to stick a weapon in your face and demand you hand it over. As far as most are concerned, if it looks like an iPhone, Rolex or Gucci bag, they'll take it and consider its actual pedigree later.

last saturday a robbery was reported in la dolcerie restaurant in SD. the victim had their watch stolen by an armed attacker.
the attack was first reported via twitter by a dominican deputado:
https://noticiassin.com/diputado-jean-luis-denuncia-asaltan-cliente-en-restaurante-la-dolcerie/

the victim is russian-american DJ, apparently. originally the politician mentioned that the stolen watch was over 150k dollar richard mille piece but recent reports give the value at 850k. what the heck. nice pay off for 5 minutes of "work" either way.

"Nice Payoff" for 5 minutes of work? Since when is stealing categorized as work? People who steal from others are not to be applauded for a job well done.
