National has it at times, but not consistently. I order mine from Amazon. Supposedly BRAVO has it, but my BRAVO here in San Cristobal doesn't have it.Anybody see it here on the North Coast? Puerto Plata/Santiago?
Publix has great Rye Bread.............I'm using Instacart from Publix in Miami via BM Cargo. I would check Publix or another supermarket close to your shipper. Yes it's expensive that way but I only use it for shit I can't get here.
I've only done it twice now but very happy with the results.
Man, food for thought:Publix has great Rye Bread.............
Publix is 3-1 over Amazon here..................And I don't mean price. Quality............Man, food for thought:
Pepperidge Farms Rye bread
Publix: Jewish Rye Seeded Bread 16 oz. $5.35
Amazon: Jewish Rye Seeded Bread 16 oz. $1.99
It's the same bread! Did you mean fresher?Publix is 3-1 over Amazon here..................And I don't mean price. Quality............
Is Amazon selling Publix rye bread? It is certainly not clear in the post............Publix makes their own Rye Bread as far as I know. It is not Pepperidge Farm.........And it is damn good............It's the same bread! Did you mean fresher?
The brand name I was quoting is Pepperidge Farms seeded bread, amigo. Is Amazon selling Publix rye bread? It is certainly not clear in the post............Publix makes their own Rye Bread as far as I know. It is not Pepperidge Farm.........And it is damn good............
Yes they do.............I was just in Publix a few weeks ago. Bought the Jewish Seeded Rye like always. The label only says JSR. It is their own brand.............It is certainly NOT Pepp. Farm or it would say so................Quote from Publix site below. The brand name I was quoting is Pepperidge Farms seeded bread, amigo.
Are you saying Publix bakes their own bread?
Just go to a National in Santiago ,,several kinds of rye always in stock,,,,,,,,Anybody see it here on the North Coast? Puerto Plata/Santiago?
Come on man. ReallyEdit again: It's weird how they know my address when I've never bought from them before. LOL No secrets on the internet.

Agree. NOTHING in ;Nacional or Jumbo even comes close to Rye Bread. EVER...............Are you sure?
I've seen shelf after shelf of all kinds of Integral and Wheat bread at JUMBO/NACIONAL (Only 1 or 2 made with 100% whole wheat flour, BTW) but I've only seen it for sale in the bakery on a few occasions (Pan de Centano) and not that good.
My grandfather started a bakery that had the best rye bread I have had anywhere in the world. A Polish version of it that everyone loved. A major commercial bakery purchsed the rights to the recipe and they screwed it up.Anybody see it here on the North Coast? Puerto Plata/Santiago?
How is Dick? Is his wife still in charge there. He has some really good baked goods...........My grandfather started a bakery that had the best rye bread I have had anywhere in the world. I have, sadly, found nothing to compare to it in the DR.
Try Dick's Panaderia in Cabarete and see if you like their version of rye or pumpernickel
I've found Pan de Centeno in Jumbo Puerto Plata. sliced and bagged like white bread. Northern European rye bread is made with a sour mix which gives it the flavor we know and love. The Jumbo bread was made with rye flour, but without the sour. I'm not recommending it.Are you sure?
