Then there's the best Salsa tune (in my opinion) by a Dominican, "Salsa con Coco," by Pochy y la Coco Band.
According to the bass player, the former musical director for the group, the song was originally recorded in DR, but they felt it was still missing "something." So, they had NYC musicians, mostly Puerto Ricans, re-do it, from arrangements to recording.
