The road via Limon is in really good shape. no worries there, it's free too.

Last time I asked (doing the trip the other way )it was guagua from LT to Limon, then another guagua to Samana.
An inexpensive way to get around is to rent a carro publico for yourself, taxi for turistas are expensive.

there are a lot of day communters from Samana to LT.. the only trick, as I have heard from others, is to be sure of the time of the last guagua leaving Samana for El Limon. This has always been a problem during whale season since I think it leaves pretty early. Be sure to ask.

Thanks Africada and MA. As nice as the road and scenery is, I think I'll forgo the pleasure of walking from Samana to LT drstock.

The last guagua from Samana to el Limon had no connection to LT, so I had to take a motoconcho, about 7pm.

Is the connection in Limon to LT at the same location as the guagua stop from Samana or is it necessary to get a motoconcho from the Samana stop to the LT connection in Limon?

One last question. Would it be easier to take the guagua to Sanchez and then go to the Caribe Tours parade and take the bus to Samana?

I may have misunderstood you but going to Sanchez makes you go on the opposite direction to Samana.
