I think they want to hear SAMBIL is being built by DomYork and Drug money.. LOL !

Maybe "they" just dont understand how so many "super grandscale" malls have been/being built in downtown SD during some would say "recessionary" times. Of course others would argue the DR is immune to recessions and crisis and is growing full speed in one direction. Even if that was true, where is the city planning? how would you like to have invested in one of the older malls years back and now many years later the contruction of "mass mall mania" to compete with all within proximity.

Tough. Competition is great. No different that anywhere else in the world. Now all of those older malls have to do something to become competitive, which not so many years ago, weren't, and didn't really care.

Who remembers no so many years ago, if you wanted really nice furniture here in Santo Domingo, you went to Muebleria Gonzalez, with their limited selection, and the prices were insanely high.

You either paid their ridiculous price, or did without.

Now, you have lots of options for nice furniture, which is still expensive, but much cheaper than Gonzalez used to be. I say "used", because they aren't around anymore. I wonder if it was the competition that did them in?

Everyday, consumers have more and more choices. That's a good thing.

Agreed, always good for the customer but again hate to be one of the investors in one of the oldies
