I know they xray everything at STI. Are they currently trying to charge a customs fee on a 32 inch tv? What about two 32 inch TVs in the same suit case? Thank you

Get a luggage porter to walk with you, and mention to him that you don't want to be inspected and will tip well. Usually at this point they disappear for a few minutes and, in my experience, you're never checked. The only times I have ever had luggage inspected is when I've been on my own, the porters make a big difference. I normally tip RD$ 500 and they seem happy with this.

We’ve tried this several times in the past …and it worked …at PUJ …on one of those split holdalls …put one at the top section ….and the other in the lower section …

Yes it will always get picked up by the scanner …..but …the “computer monitor “ ….or… “ it’s for the kids bedroom “…… or…. “it’s a present for my Dominican abuelita at the campo “…. stories worked ….really depends on your luck on the day …

Wait ..🤔…I always get stopped but miesposa never get stopped 😩….another story another time….tried the luggage porter method once …backfired😬 …long story .

You may want to ask you shipper …our shipper brought two 32 inch TVs tax free for la suegra last month …said something about any TV ….32 inch and under …comes in tax free …but don’t quote me …either that or our shipper is still trying to impress la suegra . Ew!

Aligns with my experiences except it also has to be less than 200 USD.
