The newest mall currently under construction in Santiago. It's from the same owners of Ágora Mall in Santo Domingo, so I think this promises to be a very nice looking mall. Easily it could be the nicest looking mall in Santiago. The tower is for a hotel that will be the best in the city. Gran Almirante will be taken off the throne. lol

Across the street from Burger King. It's suppose to be ready by late next year (2022) or beginning of the following.

Project has been on the books for quite some time. China put it on hold last year but it looks like they are moving full steam ahead. Team Luis has big plans for our wonderful city going forward. I'm glad (assuming) he was able to keep this one afloat.

I hope once completed/ opened they bring more security to this area as robberies have been an ongoing problem around that intesection/ those bus stations for years.

I see a new Krispy Kreme location (Santiago's first) in the not too distant future inside
the food court as they tested the market here earlier this year by selling from truck at
the Burger King parking lot across the street for about 6 months.
They were completely sold out of donuts by late afternoon.

Santiago De Los Caballeros
2025 Update.
- Hotel Santiago opened last December
- The Arturo Fuente Cigar Lounge is a hit
- Construction still happening on ground level and mall areas.

Any idea of the inauguration? I'm aware the hotel made a soft opening last Dec.

Jumbo will open tomorrow. It should be interesting considering the mall isn’t entirely done yet. I think this is the second Jumbo of Santiago.

I measured this new one and compared it's size to the one on Ave. Luperon here in SD.

Luperon is over twice as large.

The only one i am aware of is inside Colinas Mall. Indeed this would be the second.

It wasn’t just Jumbo, but several stores (not all) in the mall (and technically the mall itself despite there are a few details not finished yet and others are temporary due to delays getting some material from abroad) open today.

Some new stores in the DR will open there including a chicken place from Peru that supposedly has the best chicken in the world.

I said it recently in another thread, Santiago is arguably the fastest growing city in the Western Hemisphere.

Proud to call it home!
