Hello! I’m visiting Santiago soon and planning to take a trip to Waterfalls of Damajagua. I’m wondering if an uber or a taxi will take me that far or if I will need to take a bus. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

From Santiago is an easy process:
- You can take Javilla Tours bus that goes Santiago-Puerto Plata highway. They have 2 buses (express to POP and the ones with stops; take the second). The main entrance to Saltos de Damajagua is just right in the highway, very walkable, before Imbert. Less than 200 pesos.

- Buses departs every 1 hour from Santiago starting 5:30am. And they're available on the highway until 6pm.

- You'll be in Damajagua in about an hour.

With Uber the process will be easier, and even agree with the driver to wait for you when you finish.. but expect higher fares, as the waterfalls are in the middle of the countryside and fares are higher.

Best of luck!

Hello!

That’s great info ! Thank you so much! I think I’ll try to take an uber if any are available early morning. Hopefully it’s not toooo expensive or I may just take the bus. I appreciate the help! Thanks again.
