David Collado is at it again, though like in SD this doesn't extends to the other side of the avenue or even the median.

I'm not happy they don't finish by updating both sides of the street. Most is done, why not inch forward and do it right by making the street look even? They say this is to attract tourism here, but everyone knows the people that benefit the most from new public spaces like this are the locals. Anyways, your taxes at work. lol

The "new" SDE Malecón was inaugurated a few days ago and the parts which they did updated looks very nice.

Santo Domingo Este is no where near the President's Plant.

I passed last week and they were filming some TV show on the new section. I took a few pics posted on Colonial Zone FB page. It looks all pretty. There are even golf cart police patrols. I used to walk the malecon with m dogs but the are too old to go that far now.

Set up a stationary bike in the sun next to the malecon in a nabe you like and you'll be good to go

I hope this time they look after the trees they planted ...when i was there a couple of weeks ago .....most of the palm trees were dead already and they were replacing them
