- I'm travelling with a pretty high budget -

I thought I would provide that information here because I'm anonymous and it gave the people an insight on my mindset as it pertains to the taxi, versus the other options.
Since I really like this lady, I don't want her end of it to be all about my 'high budget'...but I wouldn't want her to think I'm broke or borderline broke. She seems astute so I think she has probably already deduced that I have at least some means. She did declare that I was handsome, but I mentioned she should probably take the blindfold off before making that declaration.

Well I am going to LT soon and I am paying the same $170 you paid to get there and I've lived here 12 years. So you definitely paid a fair price and it was worth coming on here to check it out first.

Remember the guy who drove you also needed to drive back so it's a five hour round trip with tolls and expensive gas.

I agree, he almost certainly had to dead head back all the way back. I think the advice I received here probably saved me some money. With my 'pretty high budget' I probably would have been quoted $250 and would have paid.

I get it. Just be careful and not blindfolded yourself, thats the only sincere advice I can give. Other than that have a good time!

I was taking a shot in the dark with the whole trip. She is a very attractive lady that works full time but yeah it seems she is very happy to see me.

That's great. Glad to hear it went well. Women with full-time jobs have always struck me as the ones you want to pursue. They're the ones who seem to have their heads attached in the right place. The tough part is getting any time to spend with you.
There are literally millions of women here who cannot think past their next IG post or what they're going to wear to the disco each night. They are the ones who post pictures of their tongues sticking out, their rear ends, and shots of their barely covered breasts, along with their goals in life to go shopping or travel.
I have been on all of the social meeting websites for over a decade and I still haven't found one who impresses me.
BTW, I've been here since the early 70's, so I've seen them all.

The last thing I need is a silly lady who isn't going to be sincere with me. Later this morning, I'll be paying her a visit at her workplace. As you said, her days are gobbled up by work so there is a little less time to get to know each other, but that is the reality, and I wouldn't have it any other way...for now. Although I'm no spring chicken, I'm also no expert on anything here in the DR so I welcome any opinions/advice/thoughts.

If you're at the same stage of life, in the same "league" looks-wise, and your brains connect then there's enough glue for the rest to happen. if not, then accept it's probably just going to be a holiday romance or a quickie.

There is nothing 'wrong' with this lady, but I'm concluding that she isn't my cup of tea. I want a lady who has a sparkle in her eye when she is with me, and this lady doesn't seem to have that. She is probably a quality lady for the right man, but I don't think I'm the right man. Not really anybody's fault. I made the trip to gain this type of information. I'm considering taking a taxi back to Santo Domingo with no particular plan in mind. I see there is a large hotel and casino that I'm thinking of reserving a room at...sounds fun. Does anybody have taxi connections from Las Terrenas to Santo Domingo? I am considering calling the same guy I used the first time. He would have to dead-head over here probably but for maybe for $170 or so it is worth it to him.

I'm guessing the guy who took you there will be happy to go get you. You may want to think about questions you can ask him on the way back.

I really agree with this. Stay at the ZC and walk or taxi to the malecon if you want. There's a casino on El Conde, but given I don't do them, I can't vouch for it or against it.

Appreciate the information, and thanks for the suggestion. I notice the huge difference in pricing between the Jaragua like i was considering, compared to something like the Wyndham in ZC. Jaragua about $200 a night Wyndham about $70. The casino part isn't critical although I'd definitely like to go inside and play a little. I think I'll take the advice here and find something in the ZC for at least the first night and taxi over to the casino.

There is doing the rounds on TikTok a huge English woman who looks like she eats a mattress for dinner every day with this seriously ugly short sanky guy in Bavaro. She wants an intimate wedding and he is inviting the whole barrio.
