What they've done so far is very nice, but please come back to me in a year and ask how it is holding up.

I am going out on a limb and say it will still be in great condition. That Playa Guiba and Plaza Baron on the malecon are still in good shape after several years. Yes a little show of wear and tear but definitely not destroyed.

I agree with you for the most part. But get out just a little further west, and the project to redo the sidewalks and lights never got finished before wiring got stolen, lamps vandalized/stolen, sidewalks never got finished, and the rest of it looked pretty forlorn.

The fishing platforms seem to be holding up pretty well too. They outdid themselves on painting those guys.
