Second phase of recovery starts: More workers back to work, interurban transport and shopping at the malls

The coordinator of the High Commission for Prevention of Coronavirus, Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo says the spread of the coronavirus in the country has plateaued and lethality has kept relatively low. He announced the start of phase 2 of the economic recovery with the authorization of interurban transport and private collective transport services as of 3 June 2020.

Betting shops are cleared to open, not so casinos. Shops in the shopping malls may remain open, but the food, play and recreation areas will remain closed to avoid crowding.

As was established previously, micro-enterprises with between 1 and 10 employees will be able to work with all their employees.
