Wow for the taxes and fees alone on that TV - you could buy a couple of Large Display type glasses and just bring them oin a suitcase! Heck with the cost of the 70 inch TV and shipping and taxes you could buy half a dozen and have enough for the whole family!

What are "large display type glasses"?

Got prices from my shipper today (finally) on the question asked by the OP. While Pichardo got a bundled price with other things he sent (mentioned above), the stand alone price and taxes from the New England area is $1,500...door to door. I am guessing slightly lower from the Miami area.

A 32" TV is quoted at $350 shipping/duty. At least for the 32", you are probably beter off trying to take one down in a suitcase as Taino 808 talked about here and then play the Dominican customs lottery in the airport.

there is a better way

Get a projector and, if you need them, dark curtains to block the light. US$800 to US$1,000 will get you a very compelling experience. You will have a hard time settling for a television of any size after you spend time with a projector.

Almost....

Robert and his fellow cult follower are making sure I go nuts but not yet.
BuyDig.com - Sony KDL-70R550A 70-Inch 1080P 120Hz Wifi Smart 3D LED (Allow 1-2 days processing)
70" TV that is only $2200 is a killer deal.
I do spend less and less time in my house these days but when I do I want that movie theater experience and perhaps move 42" to my bedroom....

Just thinking and doing researches....
Also I guess I would have to get an approval from my wife on this....
Toys over $500 is a must discussion items....
Its not like I can hide 70" tv on back patio and bringing in when my wife sleeps and not notice...

If they bring out a 4K projector soon enough before we start to see 100'' to 120'' 4K TV sets I would consider it.
