They’ve offered this in San Cristobal for a few years. Has anyone actually tried it at any location, and if so, how did it go?

I can't get the sense of your question.
Since you are not "picking" out your own groceries, looking at expiration dates, quality, etc., you may find products close to or maybe past the expiration date, etc. This has happened to me when doing order online/pick-up groceries. There are certain things I would never do an online order/pick-up for. There are other things that are kind of a "no brainer" so I trust someone else selecting them for me.

Never tried it, but saw how it goes. Girls with shopping carts with a flag advertising the Go aspect walk around with a list and pick up the items. Seems pretty straight forward..........I assume it is ready when you come to pick up.......

I was wondering how accurate the order was, do they make substitutions, and can you pay in cash upon pickup or is a credit card mandatory?

Well that's your experience but isn't the rule and I don't think that the owners will launch that service to get rid of the food that is past its expiration date.

If I have to go pick it up, I'll do the shopping too...I'm not that busy! :)

I think they also offer delivery, at least near me. I had a hip replacement and started doing online supermarket orders with curbside pickup here in NJ, and I love it. I’m thinking I’ll try it there too. Maybe. I just prefer paying in cash in DR…….

They won't start offering delivery through the Sirena app or website because UberEATS and PedidosYa haven't coverage in Sosúa, but they offer delivery if you go in person.

I think you missed my point. It is not a matter of the owners trying to get rid of expired items. My point was, when you are not selecting your own items, you are at the mercy of others. I use these types of services (actually many times) and have no problem using them.

Like ordering bananas, right?

I threw together a Pedidosya order today to see how it would go. The app offers pay by CC or COD. I didn't go through with it this time, but will do so in the near future.

I may give it a try. On the other hand, I hardly get out now as it is, so I may stick to doing it myself.

Exactly, I had issues with bananas, avocados, things like that. But I have learned over time which items are better suited for online ordering/pick-up, and which are not. Like you, grocery shopping gets me out and about.

I prefer Bravo due to the crowds, but there are a few items they don't carry, so Sirena is a necessary evil.

Going early seems to be the best option-it fills fast.
