I was looking out my window and saw snow flakes blowing by..... just bought our tickets.

So what's new in Sosua/Cabarete this year?

Any new restaurants? Any closed ones?
What are the “local” places (off Pedro Clisante) charging for a Rice-n-Beans?
Is Fast Freddies still open on the Beach and did any sand return at that end?

What is the price of a Jumbo at a Store... at the Beach? Is there a Beer shortage?
Any more Rum shrinkflation? 750ml-->700ml 40%-->35%

How much is a. . . . .
-Carros: Sosua-POP Sosua-Cabarete
-daytime Motoconcho around Sosua (Local$ and Tourist$$)
-Airport-Sosua Taxi

What are the Sosua Karaoke bars this year and what nights?

When was the last time you were down?
Are you really concerned about how much a plate of Rice-n-Beans cost?

Potholes definitely. Why can't Corraplata fix a road they tear up?
They need to hire an engineer and have a road crew and materials on speed dial.
How many sprained ankles or near accidents need to happen at the unpaved ditch in front of the taxi stand?

It's the same behavior with Corasaan, Caasd and the rest of water corporations in the DR.

They did a patch job on Camino LLibre last month and it's already coming apart. Two huge holes right at the entry where it meets the main road.

Rice and beans
Public bus
Beer
Motoconcho
Karaoke bars

With these vacation considerations, why not just plan a fun filled weekend at a West Virginia Motel 6 and save yourself the airline fare.

Cabarete, DR
Just an update:
Thai curry corner is closed. Hopefully it will reopen in a different location soon.
In the meanwhile, the restaurant at El Rancho on Dr Rosen (near Playa Alicia) serves Thai food as part of their menu. Nice quiet setting and quick service too.

I paid 50 pesos in a publico for Cabarete-Sosua and the same for the return.
