Not sure.More casetas knocked down or a different view of the same ones?
What I do know is I didn't see any debris or trash being collected
or being removed and eventually it will just get washed out into the bay.

I'm wheels down at POP Sat and headed to Michaels for a couple beers. Try to get that cleaned up by then. Thanx Kurt aka DJ OTaken yesterday morning around 10am on my way from Charamicos to El Batey.
Better chance of seeing hell freeze over...twice.I'm wheels down at POP Sat and headed to Michaels for a couple beers. Try to get that cleaned up by then. Thanx Kurt aka DJ O
Nice approach ! Making it more difficult for the trade without directly attacking the trade. Combine this with the announcement last year where the Ministry of Tourism had a chat with all establishments selling liquor, they seem to be making slow progress. Whether they give up or not, time will tell.I am surprised nobody mentioned it, I just learned last Sunday morning that the Cuarteria on Calle Ayuntamiento where most Sosúa Chicas Alegres stay overnight was shutdown by the health department due not sanitary conditions.

They will never give up, they will just adapt. Was that flop house across from The Finish Line? I suspect so since Bachata has an apartment not far away and it is on Calle Ayuntamiento. It is the proverbial crap house with the amount of spandex that must have been there.Nice approach ! Making it more difficult for the trade without directly attacking the trade. Pushing them out of sight has been the goal and perhaps shutting down their flop house will be one more step in that out of sight out of mind goal ( and pushing that project for Sosua over "the finish line" pun intended. )
It's been shut down for awhile. There are many of these places in El Batey and Charamicos, the chicas had no problems finding other accommodations.I am surprised nobody mentioned it, I just learned last Sunday morning that the Cuarteria on Calle Ayuntamiento where most Sosúa Chicas Alegres stay overnight was shutdown by the health department due not sanitary conditions
These places are everywhere. They shift around regularly. It's been shut down for awhile. There are many of these places in El Batey and Charamicos, the chicas had no problems finding other accommodations.
I've been inside that dump about 11 years ago when trying to help someome track down a stolen tablet. It was a labyrinth drug infested firetrap full of dirtbag prostitutes and it sould have closed down years ago. Talk about a real eyesore. SMH.These places are everywhere. They shift around regularly.
People have tied the DR government plan to rebuild the infrastructure behind Sosua beach with an overall plan for Sosua that also includes putting putas out of sight. What has all this about where the girls live to do with Sosua Beach Renovations?
Because eliminating problem locations is part of the overall renovations plan. David Collado has spoken publicly about his plan to do so on several occasions. Whether or not he will achieve this goal remains to be seen. What has all this about where the girls live to do with Sosua Beach Renovations?
about 2/3rd of businesses on Playa Sosua are still going concerns.Speaking with several owners during the last 10 days, they're uncertain about the future but keeping things open;especially during high seasonAre there any bars or restaurants still open on the beach?
yes.Are there any bars or restaurants still open on the beach?
I had one across the street from where I lived. It was shut down as well. That was back in 2014.I've been inside that dump about 11 years ago when trying to help someome track down a stolen tablet. Good riddance.
By now they should have concerns. Soon, in Dominican time, all the casetas will be gone, and how many of them will be able to afford the rent in the new plazas? Only the glacial pace of Plaza construction is delaying the inevitable for them.about 2/3rd of businesses on Playa Sosua are still going concerns.Speaking with several owners during the last 10 days, they're uncertain about the future but keeping things open;especially during high season
