They're all over, Maria. Did you see the latest raid in Punta Cana? I'm betting there's more in SD than you may realize.
Any hick town across the entire country is riddled with cabarets. To the tourist, it most probably appears as a dive bar, but the chicas who serve the beahs and rum will sit down with you to share a beverage and for 500 pesos, take you to one of the back rooms for 15 minutes.

While it is true that strip clubs have faded away for the most part. When I wander around any part of the island, I like to stop into a local colmado to chat and enjoy a couple of cold beers. Invariably within 15 minutes I will be offered a bit of "company". Sosua's problem is the open air meat market that comes to life on the sidewalks of the town nightly.

Thanks for the welcome. Please find one post where I said I personally wanted the whores and whormongers moved? You won't find one.

I always stated it was the government that wanted that. So, you are wrong.
Do you even read what you type?

I take it you have no response that shows I wanted the prostitutes removed.

There are none. But I do call a spade a spade.

I could care less what consenting adults do. That I have stated many times in such threads like these.

I keep hearing about them but have never seen a car wash with chicas hanging around(?).
The only car washes I've been to are automatic and you can enjoy a lovely espresso as you gaze through the glass at a glorious choreography of suds and machine!

Oh, btw, is Panti Flojo in Nagua a carwash? 😒

In his defense, you have over 40,000 posts to sort through. That doesn't include the tens of thousands posts that went missing during an upgrade.

you do care, more than most, as you take every opportunity to sling mud at underprivileged woman who make money calling them whores and the gentleman whore mongers. You have a bizarre fascination with the goings on in the red-light district of Sosua yet you also claim to never go there. Anyone who drives through can see for themselves what is going on in the town. It is not some complex social situation. The girls are there to make money and the gentleman are there to have fun, eat and drink.

This has never made any sense .
It makes perfect sense to me.
Eliminating their competition.

Call me old fashion but I prefer to chat up normal brods who work and don't sell the asses on the street. They can get rid of all them tomorrow, far as I'm concerned, it makes no difference to me.

I read "assets", but I see you defaulted to the blue collar colloquialism. Broad (not brod) is also an antiquated term that is construed as disrespectful toward women in this day and age.

I live near Sosua. I have played gigs, many of them, on the street when it was closed (before some numbnuts business put a stop to that good thing) , and in places on the west end of Pedro Clisante like the Jolly Roger, Brittania and the bar across from Brittania when owned by the former owners of Brittania back in the day.

There were few issues back then with prostituion until what some call Muppets started posting their sexploits on line, coming down on what people now refer to as "Jet BLK" as if it was something to be proud of to pay for sex and should be shown to everyone how great they were for doing so. That is when the government took notice and tried to take action which didn't work well at all as everyone can attest. Perhaps if Willy throws enough money, that situation will head east and those in Santo Domingo will give him a pat on the back.

I call it what it is, while you call males that pay for sex "gentlemen" That is comical. My mother is no longer alive or I would ask her what she would call them.

And once again, I could care less how those people conduct business. I never cared and I never will. (My wife on the other hand...)
It is the government that cares and they still do.

The bad reputation of Sosua and Boca Chica costs the DR money and makes it hard for people to invest in Sosua.

Underprivileged? Maybe, but most prefer to work on their knees or backsides than hold down a real 9-5 type job. Quicker money for less effort.
