The minister of Tourism will do nothing for Sosua!!! He is doing sooo much for Puerto Plata right??? Guess not.
Normal Dominican families do goto Boca Chica Restaurants Boca marina, Pelicano and Neptuno because they are totally on the other side of the town seperated by a large all inclusive Hamaca Hotel, Those restaurants are not in Boca Chica, they are on the far fringe.
100 % true look at all those closed businesses around town, Sosua used to be a 24/7 party town it has never recovered from that failed experiment years ago. Leave the poor girls alone.
I've had that one pulled on me in the past plus the ketchup on the fritos that gets on the chicken. Double yuck.Except they put ketchup in the ham and cheese ones. yuck!!!!
Eddy I have been trying to find such a town now for years, I have been down to Dajabon,San Juan De Maguana, Monti Cristi, Romana, Bavaro, and even to the highlands of Jarabacoa and Constanza and many places in between and I keep scoring in these places, I will continue my search for that sacred town and keep you all appraised if I find it.
I know all three places very well where one can eat and swim right away and come back to meals. They are nice. But a simple dinner cost $70-$80US per person or more, so very few Dominican families are there. I speak routinely with patrons- most of them are rich tourists/visitors. Argentina, India, USA... Never seen them even 1/4 full.
I've met girls who get together and take field trips to Sosua from the capital for the weekend or whatever long holiday happens by. Their main objective is to make money for new cell phones, clothes, hair and makeup.
I even knew a chica who kept a calendar of all the American and Canadian holidays and three-day weekends so she knew when to show up.
I've also met chicas who go to Sosua and then telephone their friends and cousins out in the campos who may be broke. They tell them there is money to be made in Sosua and off they go.
They don't fit into the very convenient category of helpless victim. They are very much in charge of their own thoughts and actions.
A respectable Dominican family man 98% have a side piece that they see on a regular basis and may pay their schooling or rent for some pleasure,They may not goto Sosua but every Dominican Businessman I know has at least one young girlfriend on the side. It is the way things are here and the wives either know it or just turn a blind eye to it.
Where are the sex slaves???? The girls working the streets of Sosua are for the most part from other areas of the country, noone is being forced to be a sex slave. Goto Caribe bus station and you will watch them voluntarilly get off the bus with their suit case and check into a little hotel in Charamicos and then hop on a Moto Concho to Batey to find Love, I mean $$$$. Where do you come off saying sex slaves????

And in SD itself they cannot hook up with some nice foreigners?
Funny that. I've been to Pelicano and Neptuno many times over several years (but never to Boca Marina) and every single time most of our fellow customers were Dominican.
Possible. I am mostly at Boca Marina as our condo has permission to swim and use their benches. P and N recently had their owners changed and it did not do good to them.
But all three places are nice as I know them for at least seven years. I`d attach some nice pics but do not know how to do it. Not completely nude but sexy. But I see no option to add pics. It is a disadvantage of this otherwise nice and intelligent Forum.
Boca Chica does not have much gringo tourism.
In SD the gringos are not the type that would be customers, compared to Sosua.
From what I was told, Sosua is far enough away so that they don't have to worry about running into any family members or friends of family members who would rat them out.

In the twenty years I visited Sosua on a regular basis I saw 14 year old girls being kept by saggy pathetic old men. Everyone in the condo or hotel knew who they were. My family was wined and dined by wealthy businessmen who had brothels. These same businessmen would have killed their daughters for behaving like they did. No Robert, the rotten lawyers are just the scum floating on top of the cesspool.
