The new rumor is that Sosua Bay will or already has been purchased, don't know by who, but it will be operated as a Hard Rock hotel. Not sure about the casino though

We have a few Casinos here in Santiago.
I've only been into the Grand Victoria on Del Sol. It was mostly Italian, Russian and Chinese at the tables.
I don't see much of that demographic in Sosua nor do I see a Hard Rock Casino having any success in a town that size.
Not something I would bet on.
In Sosua, the Russians barely leave their Ocean Village complex and the Chinese are only a handful. I doubt that Sosua can support three casinos.

I hope that's true. I can only imagine how much money they will have to drop in renos. It's been closed for at least 12 years.

Move this to the Clown Bin

Foundation for Hard Rock Las Vegas Guitar Hotel Rises from Ashes of Mirage Volcano

Once the $4-$5 billion transformation is complete in 2027, only the outer shell and guts of the Y-shaped Mirage tower, housing the former casino and 3K rooms, will remain.......

So they are building a $4-$5 billion Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Does anyone here think they are interested in opening up in Sosua.......................Where do people get this nonsense from?........

Where exactly is it going to be? I can't see a Hard Rock Cafe in tacky downtown Sosua. As others have said, prices are too high. Reminds me of when Nikki Beach opened a place in Cabarete. I think it lasted one year.
Tacky location indeed. Mis-calling it HR Puerto Plata won't change it's surroundings.

I have since heard from a very reliable source that this is in fact just a rumor so scratch that
And I thought for sure that after building a $5,000,000,000 hotel on the Las Vegas strip they would be sure to build another Hotel and Casino on the Sosua strip of Pedro Clisante…………..

The Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood is owned and operated by Hard Rock International. It is a boutique hotel and casino experience, located in the historic downtown area of Deadwood, South Dakota. Hard Rock International is a globally recognized company with venues in over 70 countries. The Rocksino in Deadwood is part of Hard Rock International's portfolio of owned, licensed, or managed hotels, casinos, and other entertainment venues.
Was this also a $ 5 BILLION dollar Project ? ??
I think we could physically fit 4 of these in Sosua without a problem.

So much for your Fake theory that Hard Rock International only do BILLION Dollar Projects .

BTW , I met Isaak Tigrett, back in circa 1986 ? . In fact he INVITED us to Come, and bought 2 of us Dinner and Drinks at the Hard Rock Cafe , when it was at 57th Street NYC.
Adam Ant was hanging out there that night at I recall .. good times .
Not that it means anything , but Im pretty sure he never bought you Dinner and drinks. LMFAO
I worked for AMEX at the time, and we took care of him on something.
Just mentioning it , so you see why I have a curiosity about this ,.,
It certainly has ZERO to do with you , and whatever job you have there .
