DHL or UPS. Get the tracking number.
Thank you! We recently moved to the Samaná area. I imagine you are talking about DHL & UPS offices elsewhere. We have CPS & EPS . Where can I find the locations of these offices. Suggestions for those who live far away from the DHL / UPS offices from experience,?

You can use EPS, I did. Just tell them you want it shipped direct to the EPS office, not the Miami address. I know the girl and just told her when it comes call me. Propina's work wonders here. I even had the bank send one here................

To get back on subject...A friend of mine that lives in Casa Linda has had Starlink up and running in his villa for about a month now. Zero outages and consistently 200mbs download. I was there yesterday and we had 5 TV's streaming football games and 6-8 people on their phones and it was chugging along lightning fast.

My Starlinks have been in the country for a few months. I am finally here to install. My speeds have averaged around 150/40. I had times when it was as low as 60/10, and then times when it was as high as 180/40. Supposedly it improves over time but I was testing within a few minutes after installation. This is at the tip of Samaná. After they adjusted the price lower, I think it is a better value than fiber optic in the area. Our options are limited here.

What's the prices now for the equipment here in the DR and the monthly rate?
Monto del Pago:
RD$30,203.73. That included any shipping charges and taxes for the dish itself. Set up was fairly simple. You will need an open sky. Mine faced NE at a fairly low altitude, so if you have high trees in that direction, you may have issues. Having said that, it may vary depending on your location in the DR. I do not know that for sure. I am just telling you my experience.

How do you start by pointing it the right direction. Do they give you an azimuth and how is fine tuning done. Is there a way to see increasing or decreasing signal ?
What kind of cable is run into the house ? Do you need your own router. I assume they provide a receiver box that translates signal that you connect to your router ?
Is there a limit on the number of people connecting to your WiFi (ie neighbors etc)

You get the cable, dish, router and a stand. If you want to connect your device via ethernet cable, you need to buy an adapter from Starlink, or ebay. You just connect everything, and plug it in. You plug in the modem to a receptacle, and it provides power to the dish. The dish has a small motor, and it automatically finds the satellite for you. It takes a few minutes for it to move around on its own and find the best one. Multiple people can use it. You create your own user name and password. I assume there is no limit to the number of users, but surely it will slow down the speed for each user.

Keep us filled in on the process. If I can get faster service than Delancer at half the cost then I'll do it too
