On a recent trip from POP to the Cabera area we passed a huge house nestled on a large hill, heliport and the works! Certainly has a view. Anyone know the story?

Yep. Golden Dolphin. One of numerous large villas/homes in Cabrera. Owner is an immigrant to the US who started as a copier repairman and now owns a few large retirement communities.

Yes, huge white house trimmed in blue. Certainly difficult to miss!

and by the way, our group stayed at Orchid Bay. Forget now who posted the recommendation (tks), the place was more than superb.

I just searched for Golden Dolphin and found an article advising it would be sold at a no reserve auction back in 2019. Any idea if it sold?

I have to take a trip up there. I haven't been through there since 2003.

I saw it on Wednesday and wondered who built it. I don’t remember if it was close to the shoreline or not. I do remember thinking it must have amazing views regardless.

I think I found it. On the north (oceanside) of the road?

No, not ocean side..... there's no room ocean side where it is

Very high on a hill, has an elevator I believe
