Don't treat this lightly. Please. I'll discuss with you over a glass of wine, that is , if you sit on my right side side as I have no hearing on my left side. Believe me this is a serious matter.

Acknowledged, accepted and agreed upon.
As mentioned previously, I never knew of the medical term for this condition, and I do not think it would be a stretch to believe that those who are non-sufferers would ever know.
An awareness campaign would be beneficial to many globally.

Noticed quite a few of your posts end with a bottle of wine.

Yes, a correct observation that is.
A few years back, my cardiologist in Buenos Aires recommended a glass of red wine each evening.
I follow his advice, and live life as I so see fit.
I attribute this for my good health, and positive outlook on life's matters.

Totally agree. Until this thread I had no idea it was serious at all. Not being able to sleep would be a show stopper for me as I'm sure it is for others.

One of the most painful experiences I ever had in my life was an inner ear infection while I was stationed in Zürich.

William Shatner is one of the better-known persons who suffer from it. He once stated he was almost driven to suicide because it became so bad.
It's like tuning a TV or Radio to a frequency with no station transmitting and turning up the volume level of the static.
In my particular case, I always hear it, and there are times when it changes the frequency. Super distracting.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the correlation between tinnitus and high blood pressure.
It is a well-known symptom.

Cabarete
Has anyone here been to a specialist in the DR regarding tinnitus? I suffer from this, it is 24 hours, 7 days a week, there is no break from it and for those that have it know how frustrating it is. There is no escaping it. For those that cannot comprehend what it is like, go to YouTube, mine is the same as sound 1, imagine having that 24 hours a day:

I anyone can recommend a doctor that specializes in tinnitus here in the DR, preferably in Puerto Plata or Santiago (but can go to Santo Domingo) as I live in Cabarete then please share their info, much appreciated.
