Supreme Court rejects construction of a second international airport in Punta Cana

The Supreme Court of Justice rejected an appeal by the promoters of a second international airport in the Punta Cana area. The Supreme Court responded to a request by the Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este, a Grupo Puntacana affiliate, filed on 5 March 2020. The Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este is the owner and operator of the Punta Cana International Airport.

The Supreme Court rejected a cassation appeal filed by the Abrisa Group and the Bavaro International Airport against a resolution of the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) that opposed the construction of the second international airport in the eastern beach destination.

Does the above convoluted language mean they can now actually build the second airport?
