It's a lot further than you think that trip. I drove it once and it took hours and hours
It takes about three and half to four hours more or less. Need to take it easy all the way.
Using the toll road - it's a solid 3 hrs.
Cabrera to LT is about 1 1/2hrs.... Cabrera to Sosua is about the same
As I mentioned , there are daily bus trips in both directions

There is also a free road that is the old way. Gets you to the same road you need. Just a few minutes longer.

Returning to the OP's question, I would guess that as we are talking about a 4 hour journey there, and then another 4 hour journey back for the taxi driver, with tolls each way, we've got to be looking at US$ 150 minimum. Anyone else?
I think that's too cheap. With rising fuel costs, I would ball park it in the $200-250 range with fuel costs being where they are right now.
