I found it ballsy.
I usually have the same taxi driver to run around for errands. On occasions, I use another driver if my guy is not available.
I use my back up driver maybe once every 2 weeks and he seemed trustworthy. I don't talk about anything personal, just where I am going and small talk. But I guess he was watching my errands and seeing what I purchased. He was basically counting my money. The guy doesn't even know my name.
So the other day, he sends a voice message to my wife almost crying. That he needed 4000 pesos cash advance for a car battery he needed and he would pay me back with taxi service. Meanwhile, the day before his car was starting up fine and he made close to 3000 pesos with me(I run a bunch of errands at the same time).😒
I guess the holidays are coming and the sad stories of how one needs money. Now this taxi driver lost a client, thinking I was going to sympathize with him.
Be wary, people are paying attention to your moves and counting your money.
Learn to say no and when to cut people off.
We never responded to his voice mail.
