The Abinader administration sent to retirement last week five generals, 221 colonels, 43 lieutenant colonels, and a bunch of other in the military ranks.

Now it turns out that many should have been retired long time ago. The retirement age in the military is 61 years.

As reported 69 of the officers were 70 to 79 years, while another 93 were more than 65 years old. Acento ascertained that at least 10 of the recently retired were 80 to 87 years old. Acento speculates that there are many more officers with ages 75+ in active service in violation of the law.
