The developers is brilliant, they are building a new apartment condos and have a private beach style with huge pool in the middle. This looks interesting.

That is not the Ocean. It is a man made lake ..........It appears to be behind Coco Bongo.......

Maybe they will have a few employees walk around the "beach" selling cell phone accessories and "coco loco" for the people to enjoy the true experience!

Not to be cynical but I highly doubt the water will be that color after a few days or weeks .. unless they pump in fresh ocean water regularly .. that looks like an AI overlayed over an artists drawing.

I wonder if they'll be pumping in water from the ocean, or if that will be fresh water being filtered.

Hasn't that development been going on for a while? I have seen a lot of realtors who have "posted" about it on various websites for some time now.

Yes. This project has had no activity for several years now. And yes, I would want to see the maintenance plan for the "beach."

The irony is that Bavaro/Punta Cana has excellent beaches and they build this? I guess maybe the attraction will be no sargassum.

And yes, it is behind the fabled Downtown PC (east). There have been numerous unfinished empty buildings that you can see from the highway east of Coco Bongo for a long time. I guess they have revived it.

Although the title of the video says something about construction update, I see no info about that in the video. There is another video about the same place that calls it Crystal Lagoons :ROFLMAO: There is a phone number to call for sales.

Interesting, you can see the bright blue "beach" already on Google maps.

From what I have been told the place is 30% occupied . Hmo are sky high 400 per month and is overpriced that why they are not selling. plus the traffic is a night mare in front of Jumbo from 10am till 9 pm

The costs of maintaining an artificial saltwater Lake clean and functioning are mindblowing. This has been tried many times before all over the world without any long term sucess.

Crystal Lagoons is a company that specialize in lagoon style swimming pools. I saw a presentation a few years back which was very impressive. This is the company that designed and built the pool for The Beach development but they are nothing to do with the condo development. There are hundreds of their Lagoons in the US and Canada and they have built lagoons all over the world including Australia. Chile, South Africa, Colombia, Dubai, Thailand, and Israel. They have some impressive images on their website...many looking much nicer that the one that is at this development in Punta Cana!!! In the link below, the lagoon in the first video image is huge! The long one in front of the beach with the pyramid style condo buildings is in Chile which looks really impressive.

There are many successful ones in Florida,I've been to a few of them. And more are being built.

And San Alfonso isn't even new, it's been around for at least 10 years. My ex went there with her new husband over 10 years ago.
How do they keep the water Clean..
This must cost a Fortune .. Looks like a bunch of HIGH Rise Hotels are all in on it together, like a Co Op .. split the costs Or is that One huge Hotel ?

I'd guess it's not filtered as much as it is circulated from the ocean. In one end and out the other.

Regarding fake beaches in Bávaro/Punta Cana, well seeing this ad for Los Delfines Water Park in Cap Cana, is that another fake beach that I’m seeing?
