The BEST MOFONGO in the Cibao area
We've had mofongo here in Santiago at one of the local parks but me and my wife both like the Puerto Rican style we found in Orlando. Is there and place here in Santiago where one can get such at a decent price? The only thing we don't like about the mofongo we've gotten here is that they put too much stuff on it. I just like it simple with no sauces and bits of chicharron inside. Thanks.

Chip in most establishments you get what you ask for, in other words if you only want a mofongo with chicharron, then only ask for this. Puerto Rican mofongo? How is that different than one from here?

I'm no expert on mofongo, but when we've gotten it here on more than one occasion it seemed different and had toppings and some type of salad dressing.
tHE zAGUAN used TO BE GOOD, TRY MY PLACE AND YOU WONT GO BACK, i WILL ADMIT THE ATMOSPHERE IS BETTER IN THE zAGUAN, BUT i'M REALLY THEIR FOR THE MOFONGO
I must say that mine is "Fat Free" no grease just a BIG portion
Sorry to imform you, but when I think Mofongo, I really don't think "Fat Free". Think about it, deep fried Platanos, with deep fried anything else added to it. This doesn't say "Fat Free" to me in any way.
