NYC-SDQ BABY!
Would you like another Dominican to tell you the same thing over again? THIS is what WE DOMINICANS want for Sosua, you whore mongers have over stayed your welcome. Be glad that cooler heads have prevailed and not the ones that want a more HEAD-ON approach when it comes to cleaning up Sosua.

Could have easily gone in with the DGM and DNCD....

So you and the other person represent all dominicans now. Lol thats so pompous. What about the Dominicans that were protesting in the streets against your wishes. Are they haitian now? What about the Dominicans I know who state they should just make it a red light district and be done with it. 2 people on DR1 does not represent all Dominicans. Get over yourself. Finally, ive never been to sosua as I live in the capitol, but what i do with my penis is my business. Mind yours.

oh you mean that "protest" that gathered all but 10 people with tiny candles paid for by the whore mongers? oh wait there might have been a little over than 10 on there if you include the local drug dealers and hood rats that benefit from seling minors..... also YES some of those ARE Haitian.
Knowing how thristy some of these people are for Dominicans i would not put it past a foreign prostitute be it venezuelan or haitian saying they where "Dominican" just to benefit from the fetish.
You people remind me of a rat trapped in a corner... screaming its lungs out and trying everything in the book from screaming "racism" to calling the closures "illegal".

remember im just a "no one" and "nothing changes"

You people? You dont know anything about us. All of this anger about the "whoremongers" but youre refusing to address the elephant in the room. Why are your sisters, mothers, cousins, and friends running to a place like sosua to sell themselves? I mean your pseudo rage should be addressing that issue. For if they're making a livable wage there is no whoremonger. But guess what, im just a "no one" and "nothing changes" because people like you bitch and moan online and do nothing to address the real problem.

This is just a guess but if and when the beach is taken over, it will be during the low season.

Some bars closed. The chicas are still there just spread out all over town. Maybe when the big glistening towers arise from the ashes the chicas will disappear and beautiful tourists will arrive. Oh wait , that didn't happen in Santo Domingo

Hopefully the future of Sosua is a Dominican or Expat making moves to provide decent paying jobs to the locals that is not based on tourism. Its not rocket science no one sells their body if they have a choice. I don't know if its a latin thing but I noticed soon as a woman has a kid she is no longer marriage material. I have 3 dozen woman on whatsapp all have 1 to 3 kids none of them married . So im asking what options does a single mother have for work in sosua with no husband? What options does a men have to goto school to learn a trade(do job properly) and start a business? Is there a welfare system in DR?

Soon as I saw how the woman looked and how much it was to get laid , im all in. Crazy because I know if I goto the capital all I have to do is go on dating site and pretend I want a girlfriend. Difference is Santo Domingo has jobs and a better economy so the game the woman play are different.

I first found of the country by doing planning for retirement (only 34) and I notice how "cheap" the cost of living was here; im also going to look up Columbia and Cuba. I didn't know about sosua until I joined this forum. Then someone posted about CubaDave and I was in shock and awe.

Im guessing a percentage I don't know how big or how small couldn't afford higher end places in the Country or afford another island. Now they want to belittle others for partaking in the cheap lifestyle even if for a weekend or a couple weeks.

"Not based on tourism"? I'll give you the benefit of... you wrote this while in an intoxicated state. LOL. Did you really mean "NOT"? If so, I have nothing more to say as your thoughts are contained within the four corners of your post. Interesting. Strange. Naïve. Have a good day.

alexw, in the mind of a monger every Dominican female is for sale.

I hate to break it to you but this is simply not even close to being accurate outside the monger world.

I personally don't know one person in the DR whose mother, sister, daughter, cousin or aunt runs anywhere to sell themselves.

Perhaps therapy for sex addiction could change your outlook on the world, because it is rather warped and out of touch with reality.

But if denial outweighs therapy I'm sure there are other world hotspots where you can still find solace, because it seems the DR gubmint is forcing a movement away from your Sosua hobbyland.

ogunjobi, there is an old biblical phrase: "Seek, and you can find."

If one seeks prostitutes anywhere on the planet, if one seeks drugs, if one seeks hermaphrodite Tibetian dwarfs for a sexual liaison, if one seeks a gay former priest with a women's shoe fetish, if one seeks diligently enough, one can find them.

The fact that you found what you seek means you fished in that specific pond and is no reflection on society as a whole.

But since mongers live is a sex-based world populated by buyers and sellers of sex, where everyone is just like them, mongers think the entire world is like the one they found, and everyone is a monger.

Doesn't mean it is true.

I am sorry your Sosua world is evolving away from your chosen lifestyle. Good luck in your future travels.

This is certainly the most "interesting" thread now isn't it?

It is easy to see you have not been following Dominican news reports and statements directly from the government. What the government wants to happen is what is actually relevant. Whore mongers and their little heads, aka their penis', don't appear to be able to grasp this information, which seems to cause those mongers endless confusion and consternation. Try to think with something besides that penis, which you are certainly entitled to put into whatever nether-region used by countless other mongers that you desire. Yuck...

None of the posters speak for anyone but themselves, or their families, yet it is the government where Derfish actually lives in Santo Domingo that is directing the changes that will now enable other developments in Sosua. Perhaps Boca Chica would be a better example to follow for those near Santo Domingo.

By the way, Cabarete is actually subservient in part to the government of Sosua which is under the government in Puerto Plata, which is then told by the central government in Santo Domingo what to do. Much like the Federal/State/County/City/Town chain of command in the US. So technically, Cabarete, where I live is a part of the greater Sosua area. Lest you think I have no "connections" to Sosua by being in Cabarete. I am in Sosua frequently, just not in the very small section of town under debate.

Also, Sosua consists of three former towns, El Batey, Charamicos and Sosua Abajo that have over 50,000 people in total. It is comical that whore mongers insist that whores support the lives of 50,000 people like no other method of support could ever provide them.

The whores are not disappearing, just moved a bit by what is known as the sausage effect.

Im looking for a place to retire in 20 years but will gladly indulge in the mongering while Im in sosua ( 3 days out of a 15 day around the country trip).

Another bible verse is you "reap what you sow". Go ahead and plant seeds of discontent. If you continue to appear to be rich and make the people around you poorer by eliminating the way they feed themselves and family then prepare for blowback.

You correctly note that the whores are just in other parts of Sosua due to the sausage effect. That appears to be a result of the governments recent actions.

Santo Domingo is an ugly, dirty horrible city with miserable traffic. I hate the place. No wonder it is not a tourist mecca.

Punta Cana on the other hand.

None of us on this forum have any impact on what happened in Sosua. The central government was in charge of that.

Not sure how many on this forum were some of the 'wannabe players' who graced the hookers with their presence, but I would say some are indeed on this forum and therefore impacted the decision because of the last 5-6 years of public displays and the clogging of sidewalks, basically 'acting the fool'.

Had the last few years been populated by discreet tourists instead of public clowns, and were they instead acting like gentlemen the closed bars would now be preparing for Thanksgiving day specials.

It is indeed possible that some of the "players" on this form could have precipitated the recent (and previous) government action. I had not thought of it in that way, but you are right.

I take it back that no poster on this forum could have influenced what happened. Those that think with their little heads certainly could have had such an impact and in fact the "birds of a feather" did! Gobble, Gobble.

Are you seriously asserting that appearing "rich" and not enabling prostitution will cause violence?

If you are concerned about retiring, I suggest saving money in your retirement account instead of spending it on whores. Choices.

Unless you can't help yourself. That is an entirely different issue.
