...and another thread devolves into insults.

Insults? No, simply making a suggestion to someone who seems
to think it is ok to behave however he sees fit while travelling to
another country. Do not accuse me of throwing insults. You have
no right. Its not like I called the guy ignorant icfg*cnk idiot or worse as
I would never do or say such a thing about another member on
this forum :cheeky: so lay off the accusations.

I read the insult in the use of the last word. My bad I guess. I now see your intentions were honorable.

Well, I just seen the Ahnvee site as adults only; it has 108 rooms and all booked... this is where the brothers go now.
This place was built maybe 4 or 5 yrs ago; not a lot of occupancy until now... don’t you think this was the plan all along.
Ahnvee is owned by investment group, Ocean Dreams out of Miami.
Ocean Dreams is building Ocean City with 4,000 units and medical center near the POP I think.
I think they are a large player in shaping Sosua.
What i read on takemebacktososua.com, they are packed every night.
Why would Dream world investment this much in Ahnvee 10 blocks form the action if didn’t know this would happen several yrs ago.

This place was built over 25 years ago, when we first came here. It closed for over 10 years???? About 3 years ago noticed being redone and then opened with advertising for active people. ???? Saw that it had NO takers. Now a new program?
'm sorry.. but this place and it's "dream project" are just that. A dream.

So as for the red zone plan..

Seems that question is answered. The cops were waiting outside the Playa Chiquita casino and disco arresting chicas as they stepped outside.

How nice of them..

So not just the strip then.Good luck with the red zone investments and High Caribbean now...

From what I've heard, a lot of those nice homes on that end
are owned by well-to-do Dominicans. If that is true, I'd say the
chances of a real red light area thriving down there are slim to
none. Indeed... time will tell.

Oh, that old trick! Ever hear the story about the gringo walks into a bar and says he has no friends and doesn't know anyone. He asks: how can I make friends here? The guy says well, walk up to the bar and yell at the top of your lungs " Step right up guys the drinks are on me!"

Crowds can be staged. Nowadays they call those people "influencers ". They might not be paying.

Yes, that’s what happen to Rancho Tipico several yrs ago.... the prominent Dominican’s on that end we’re raising cane; so they slipped an underage chica in and rest is history.
It’s a lot worst now because not much parking.

It's not that fancy around here.
We only just got asphalt...

No million dollar mansions but a red light zone with no ladies aint gonna fly far......

Some people just tend to doubt "change" will ever happen. Well to do Dominicans could block some change, but the "force" is very strong against them.

I doubt that place will ever sell out. Too far from the beach, restaurants, shopping or public taxi stand. It's like a putting a hotel in Watts.

I am surprised they ever get an overnight tenant, even with the current situation. Perhaps a change to hourly rates only is in order.

It doesn't have to fly far. Just where it already re-started. People honestly think you can fight city hall here?

Either that or City Hall, at the behest of Santo Domingo, closes down what they just allowed in that part of town and everything goes more underground...Time will tell. If I were a betting man, I would say "Red Light" at the east end of Pedro Clisante sticks for a year, and if that happens, even longer.

There is almost zero accuracy in this post.
Ahnvee & Bourbon Street have the same owner. That owner is not involved in any of the large scale development projects and is definitely not a large player shaping Sosua.

The people shaping Sosua are the large scale real estate developers.
Hamid Tabibzadeh and the Russian billionaire behind Sosua Ocean Village are behind the Dream City (not Dream World) project and I doubt either of them are fans of the Ahnvee.

Why is it listed in Page 24 of his executive summary?
