Well thats a good point why has nobody disagreed with the above posting. Well lets have it from the horses mouth, anybody in Trade winds or the Palms have any comments? After all there is no point in investing in something where you just get promises not a title.
If Ronald Blisset is involved, run, do not walk away from the project.
He is well known for appropriating properties he has previously sold, and reselling them to unsuspecting tourists knowing that by the time they get around to asking for the title they will just give up and go home. He has sold one house that I know of on a project of his in El Choco four seperate times in the last 8 years. When the buyer gets close to completing the deal, he cuts electricity, or illegally shuts off their water supply. Anything to get them to give up and go home so he can run the same con on someone else a few months later. When the fiscals do start to chase him he goes home to Alabama, waits for the heat to lay off, and does it all over again.
Sorry that it has to be said, but some people just never get it, never fight it, and everyone else suffers from con men like this.
IT IS AGAINST THE LAW in the Dominican Republic ... for anyone to rent or sell property he does not own! Don not buy or agree to buy property from anyone who can not provide title paperwork in his own name. He likely is NOT the legal owner and is running a fraud scheme. Blisset does this all the time. Have a trusted Dominican property rights attorney review all documents beforehand to avoid being defrauded and losing both your money, and the property!
IT IS AGAINST THE LAW in the Dominican Republic ... for anyone other than the government to sell or charge for well water or water system connection fees (Ley 1962-5862 Art 118). Blisset does this all the time. Don't be the next victim.
