Hello
My name is Joel Orme and I am TV producer based in Manchester in the UK. We are currently in production of a new True Crime Series for Discovery that looks at the cases of British citizen who have tragically been murdered whilst abroad.

One of the cases we are looking to feature in the programme is the murder of Lindsay De Feliz.

Each episode will focus on one particular case and we are structuring the programmes so we can tell the story of not just the crime but also the story of the victim leading up to the tragic event and then also the struggles that family and friends have faced in trying to find justice for their loved one.

Our hope is to provide a fitting memorial to the victim whilst also highlighting the issues those left behind have to tackle when they find themselves in this difficult situation and the steps they have to go through, and in some cases are still going through, in order get answers.

The episodes will be a combination of interviews, archive material and footage shot at the location where the crime happened.

As such I'm interested in trying to speak to any friends or family of Lindsay's who might be interested in learning more about the programme with a view to potential being involved. I believe Lindsay was very active on this forum so I thought it would be a good place to start.

I appreciate this will be a very difficult subject to talk about and we don't wish to cause anyone any upset or distress.

If you would like to learn more about the project you can contact me either via this forum or directly at joel.orme@wbtv.uk

Many thanks in anticipation,
Joel

Please be aware that Lindsay's mother actively reads this forum and that Lindsay's murder trial is in a few weeks. So it is a very sensitive time.

Thank you for letting me know I appreciate it and fully appreciate that it is a very sensitive time. I don't wish to upset anyone.
I'm hoping by posting Lindsay's mother might reach out to me if she is interested in speaking, I'm purely looking to open up communication if there is a desire and don't want to put any pressure on by contacting directly.

Hello, I hope you don't mind me reviving this thread. I was recently contacted by Olga Vinas to ask me if I was still looking to make a programme on Lindsay's tragic case.
The programme I was originally working on has now been made however Lindsay's is a story that has always stuck with me and I was reminded again of it when Olga got in touch.
I know a number of you contacted me a couple of years ago but unfortunately at the time I wasn't in a position to move forward.

I work primarily as a freelancer programme maker and I'm looking for a project to take on later this year. I'm interested in trying to revisit Lindsay's story with a view to potentially telling it as either a one off documentary film or as a short series.

I'm aware that back in 2022 the four men accused of Lindsay's murder were found not guilty and at this time I believe there are no further attempts to solve her case.

I'd see any documentary as being one that is both about Lindsay's life and also hear death as well as covering the details as to how and why these men were found no guilty, considering it appeared that the evidence against them was substantial. I would be also see it as a way to focus on the wider issue of femicide in the Caribbean and how these cases often remain unsolved.

At the moment I'm just trying to work out if it would be feasible to make this film so initially I'm hoping to speak to people who knew Lindsay and also know the details surrounding her death and the subsequent investigation.
If anyone would be willing to speak with me on the subject I would be extremely grateful.
Please also be reassured that once I've been able to establish some more details and information I also plan to reach out to Lindsay's family.

I can be contacted directly at the following email address: joelorme@gmail.com
I had to open a fresh account to post here as I couldn't located my previous log in details.

Many thanks
Joel
