I'm originally from Massachusetts, and grew up on Hood. I had to learn to like Breakstone when I moved to NY.In Florida, I always bought the Publix store brand. I liked it more than Breakstone's and it came in both large and small curd. Cheaper, too.
Actually, I have. My most recent attempt, however, tasted way too much of vinegar. I must have used too much, because even after rinsing it, there was still a very decided vinegar tang. Back to the drawing board.......Why not just make it yourself .

Americans are the most spoiled people .. Our Grandparents would be ashamed of us . they made their own , Canning fruits and Veg, ,made cheeses, smoked Meats . My great grandmother as I recall even made her own Soap.
