Today I learned of the passing of long time member Ken Dupree (Ken) at the age of 90. Seems he was in the ICU for the past few weeks and passed away yesterday. Ken could be seen walking the streets of Sosua gathering information on the "news" and then reporting back to us on DR1. I would often see Ken at the gym and he looked great for his age. He never ran out of words. Another great one has left us.

I remember him from El Neptuno. Very nice gentleman who had an interesting life. He lived on a sail boat for a period of time (years) if I remember correctly.

When I found DR1, back in '02, Ken was already a DR1 legend. The DR Debate forum was one of his favorites.
My condolences to all his friends and family.

Ken made many helpful and informative contributions to this forum on a wide variety of topics. I’ve come across many interesting threads where he made important additions or started the topics himself.
I’m sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family and those who knew him.
