Starting on Monday, 6 January 2025, the Berklee College of Music will be at the recently re-modeled National Conservatory of Music in Santo Domingo. Some 200 young Dominican musicians will receive hands-on, personal instruction from some of the great staff at Berklee during workshops, classes and practice sessions.

I didn't realize Berklee still put out musicians.
Learned something new today.
Probably the most prestigious music school one can attend.

My wife's cousin who currently plays for the Santo Domingo symphony graduated from Berklee.

Of note, Juan Luis Guerrra not only went to school there, but was also a professor to my wife's cousin there. She regularly plays his concerts on the Island. Berklee grads are often sought after worldwide my major artists. She played in the band for the Elton John concert in the DR last October and also scores music for films.

Respectfully,
