Why should I? I cannot think a of a reason for it to come up at a gig.Do you use the word in public? Use it behind the mic at one of your gigs and let us know how it works out.
he knows its offensive he likes to use it for shock value. As I indicated earlier if he goes over to Pedro C, a place he reports he almost never goes and calls the chicas "whores" he will not be playing any music for awhile. Further if he uses the term "whoremonger" to one of those big German guys in Cabarete that has a young chica with him he will be drinking from a straw for a few.Do you use the word in public? I suppose I could find or write a song about it. Hmmm... Ah - one moment:
But, wait, here is just the thing. I used to see JV play around the Rochester, NY area.
The crowd loved it, but you might not have. Be sure to check out his other tunes on YouTube!
They're not woke yet.Would have thought the word whore nowadays would be considered offensive. Guess its okay behind a keyboard but it might be sub optimal to use in public.
Nobody questions whether whore is a word, it is whether it is acceptable to use that word anywhere, even behind a keyboard. Lots of words just like it in the dictionary.he knows its offensive he likes to use it for shock value. I am not even the least bit woke, but am willing to keep an open mind about stuff I don't understand. This one is a no brainer. They're not woke yet.
Once again. I said I almost never to go Sosua Beach. I never said I hardly ever went to Pedro Clisante. In fact I said I played there frequently.he knows its offensive he likes to use it for shock value. What do you find offensive about it? What would you prefer they say to class up a lonely person seeking love?I am not even the least bit woke, but am willing to keep an open mind about stuff I don't understand. This one is a no brainer.
I just use the word "chicas", but a lot of Dominicans refer to them as putas and prostitutas.I am not even the least bit woke, but am willing to keep an open mind about stuff I don't understand. This one is a no brainer.
There must be something. Anyways. The real point of this thread is that the DR government wants to see the whores and whoremongers moved out of sight and out of mind. Now, when will that finally happen? Are any more "gentlemen's" lol, locations actually being closed up?What do you find offensive about it? What would you prefer they say to class up a lonely person seeking love?
Puta is certainly the word I hear most and also Prostituta, but if said it is with a certain inflection.I just use the word "chicas", but a lot of Dominicans refer to them as putas and prostitutas.
Common sense is the answer to the first question. If you can't say it in public, one should be able to connect the dots and not say it behind a keyboard. There are lots of lonely and unlonely men seeking love that don't engage with prostitutes so man would do just fine. What do you find offensive about it? What would you prefer they say to class up a lonely person seeking love?
Priceless coming from the off topic master. There must be something. Anyways. I know Bailees is on the radar that will be interesting one ..There must be something. Anyways. We're not discussing the USA nor are we in it. Is this not off topic? Can we please move past this? In the USA the word is used exactly as windeguy does.

You are the one that claims to have a vast knowledge of Sosua and all things business. You just posted about a construction project on the beach as if you were more knowledgeable about the business there than the actually investors. You posted numerous times about changes coming to Sosua that never came to fruition, and about fake immigration snowbird round ups. If you were a baseball player you would be batting .100. You have all this amazing knowledge its just inaccurate, hey but its entertaining.Once again. I said I almost never to go Sosua Beach. I never said I hardly ever went to Pedro Clisante. In fact I said I played there frequently.
You seem to have memory issues, or perhaps reading comprehension ones. Or you like to make things up in your own mind. One or all of those seem to be at work.
As far as the Germans go, that is another story. What is the word for whoremonger in German?
Most Dominicans don't consider women who receive payment for sex to be whores. It's a deeply ingrained part of the culture. It's looked at differently situations like Sosua where it's out in the open, in the public eye. They certainly don't refer to themselves, to Dominican men in such a manner. This is all just a case of an English speaking and seemingly mostly American in this case group trying to impose their words and values on or for Dominicans.
Asking you member to member so please remember that and keep your mod hat off when replying. lolWe're not discussing the USA nor are we in it. Is this not off topic?
I'm only poking fun but how is your statement valid?
